If it was Rooney who had done it, we wouldn't sack him, John Terry could murder someone on live TV and Chelsea wouldn't sack him, Tevez allegedly refused to play and he hasn't been sacked.

Morally they should get rid of him, he's a thoroughly nasty piece of work, even without this - horrendous cheat - but if they were getting rid of players for moral reasons they'd have sold him ages ago. I don't expect them to sack players for moral reasons though, no major business does that, and in the case of Suarez it's too beneficial to them have the bastard. It's up to the authorities to deal with this sort of thing, and they should have given him a much longer ban.
I can honestly say, hand on heart, if it were Rooney...I'd have wanted him out of the door. Some things are more important than football, and in this day and age no one should have to endure the type of abuse that Evra put up with. I suspect if it were just the odd comment that he would've let it pass, but it wasn't as we all well know(the pinching of the skin....Christ what the fuck's wrong with people?), and he did the right thing by highlighting it. But yeah...he's too valuable an asset to sack, however, keeping him will be more damaging, which is why I suggested they ought to sell him in the summer...and start Operation Clean Up or something. Because as it stands they condone racism. Let's see what Standard Charter think of it.
