Also, it's all well and good blaming the "Old guard" but Drogba, A. Cole and Lampard are still some of Chelsea's better players. Their squad players like Malouda/Bosingwa/Luiz/Cahill and Torres seem much more of a problem to me. They've got a few good young lads in there (mata/sturridge/Romeu) who've done well. And I think a lot of the old lads have done well. Chelsea's problems extend a lot more beyond "get rid of the old guard" because they've got players like Mikel/Kalou and others in the middle age bracket who aren't good enough.
