Third choice keeper I presume for next year. Loan out Amos at the same time, if Butland turns out to be any good he can then compete with Amos for number 2 spot and potentially compete with De Gea for the number 1 jersey.
The fact that he is 19 means we wouldn't have to put him in the 25 man squad for a couple of years as well.
