His 'we're not winning the league' did not cause you to play shit against Wigan. It didn't cause you to concede 2 stupid late goals against Everton. You did that all by yourselves.
Similarly, when making a list of the attributes that makes Ferguson such a good manager, the comments he makes to the media to 'psych out the opponent manager'
would be just about bottom of the list.
And Liverpool didn't lose the league title because of Benitez's facts rant. Just as Barcelona didn't beat Real Madrid in the CL last season when Guardiola did something a bit similar. I remember a lot of the amateur psychologists on here predicting he'd cracked Benitez style. Of course, he hadn't and Barcelona went on to win the CL.
