I think a lot of people are letting Rooney off pretty easily. And no the tactics didn't help, but FFS... He was dire tonight, the only time he showed any drive was when he was yelling at team mates. His passing was all over the place and he just didn't show any threat whatsoever.
He was poor when we crashed out of the CL, just as he was poor at Anfield, and again tonight... big games away, when the chips are down, he disappears too much.
Sorry Wayne... when you mouth off about the clubs lack of ambition... you'd damn well better show some yourself... you didn't tonight.
