WTF?!? Is the world coming to an end?

Miller Calls The Tune In Comfortable Win

Manchester Senior Cup
Manchester United 4
Stockport County 1
Ewen Fields, Hyde

United notched their second consecutive Senior Cup win with a comfortable victory at Ewen Fields.

Irish midfielder Liam Miller was instrumental for the hosts, scoring two goals and dominating midfield in an impressive second half display.
United took the lead after just 12 minutes as Sylvan Ebanks-Blake continued his comeback from a broken leg with his first competitive goal since February.

The Cambridge-born striker reached Lee Martin's left-wing cross before the visitors' defence before calmly slotting the ball home.

While County battled gamely for the remainder of the first half, United put the game to bed soon after the interval.

Miller scored his first goal after 52 minutes before American striker Kenny Cooper continued his recent goalscoring form with a scorching third goal just after the hour mark.

The burly forward picked the ball up full 30 yards from goal before picking his spot and hammering a shot into the top corner of the County goal.

Adam Le Fondre pulled one back for the visitors shortly afterwards, but United kept County at arm's length before Miller put the icing on the cake two minutes from time.

The ex-Celtic star notched his second goal with a fine curling free-kick as Ricky Sbragia's men bounced back from last week's Lancashire Cup defeat at the hands of Oldham.

United: Steele, Bardsley, Simpson, J Evans (Pique, 42), Shawcross, R Jones, Neumayr, Miller, Ebanks-Blake (Cooper, 46), Campbell, Martin (Rossi, 70).
