Both Vidic & Evra have been bought in to create competition for places.
Lets be honest - O'Shea isn't good enough at centre-half or left back & though I've always been a fan of Silvestre but he's been shocking the last two seasons - his confidence has been shredded by the horoscope beliving twat currently in charge of the French team.
Wes is the best defender at the club (as long as he stays injury free) so I think it's great to think we've got 3 top-drawer centre-halfs keeping each other on their toes! And when Gabby gets fit we'll have two quality left-backs battling to stay in the team!
