Unfortunately I've never come across any match material of Tommy involved, well very very little anyway my old United history tape had a small section on his time period. Have seen pictures of him, looked an absolute beast of a man, he actually looks like a strong centre forward of todays Premiership, it's no suprise he had such a cracking scoring record considering
Well done Tom, you'd think United started in the 60's sometimes (a better situation than the Scousers who you'd think only existed since the 70's, though in their case, to all intents and purposes, they might as well have!), it's nice to hear about the lads prior to that period.
This is going back to far for you, but perhaps your dad will have spoken to you about him. I'm besotted with wingers, my favourite type of player, one who can beat another player one on one with pace, skill and trickery. So naturally I have a fascination with the man they credit as being the first great winger, Billy Meredith. I wonder if you have any thoughts or stories to share about him?
