On the privacy tab there is an option 'Remember what i enter in the search bar', this box i leave unchecked.
The only address in the bar is the page i am currently on
Perhaps it might be an idea to remove the search bar completely and work solely from bookmarks

Yeah it seems from the responses that that is the only way to go, i had hoped you could have as many addresses in the address bar as you like, but not have what you visited stored in the history bar (that way i could simply look for stuff through google, and the address bar would be football website free
) but it seems not be possible.
