Carrick did well against Liverpool, but he wasn't magnificent. To me it seems like this whole Hargreaves vs Carrick debate clouds some peoples judgement. Both are decent footballers but nothing special at this level really. Scholes was the obvious stand out midfielder this Sunday. Although I rate Carrick, my feeling is that he will sadly enough never become a worthy replacement for the ginger one.
