You created a thread in praise of Carrick after a performance that included a potentially major 'mistake' - that's if you believe the way in which such behaviour was characterised as a serious mistake by pro-Carrick posters elsewhere.*
If you were never guilty of such an accusation then good for you.
Carrick's tactics at that moment were something I remembered - they were consistent with those of another midfielder - so perhaps this was either a 'good' tactic, or one advised by our coaching staff.
That would mean Carrick's decisions were good - but it would also mean people criticsing another player for doing the same, whilst believing Carrick was right, would be talking... (?)
Alternatively, it was not a good decision - which means rating him so highly (given the other mistakes) is ... (?)
It's up to you what word fills the blanks.
* I particularly noticed Carrick's 'error' because of its similarity with something that had been frequently criticised by his own supporters.
