I think a lot of you are ignoring the age of these young lads. The fact that they are even close to Premier League standard at the age they are is a testament to their abilities.

Playing in central defence, consistency is key. And that's exactly what you don't get from young lads in their late teens/early 20s. They can't expect to be making a play for a regular start at MUFC until after they hit their mid to late 20s, at which time they will have ironed out all the flaws that make them look a bit vulnerable from time to time. Meanwhile, the odd game here and there will bring em along nicely.
