A few things stood out for me last night, no penetration, creativitty, rooney isolated, no pace and few players able to beat a player.
I think the above team would provide england with natural width, pace on the flanks, strong central midfield partnership with creativitty upfront. Joe Cole is good at finding that killer pass and would be a good foil for rooneys.
