Rooney needs to stay disciplined and not drop deeper and deeper when he doesn't see much of the ball. When he starts to drop deeper it cramps Gerrard and gives him lesser space. Gerrard in turn starts to chase the ball or has no one stretching the defense upfront when he gets the ball. Both of them want to be Roy of the Rovers whereas a team can maybe afford just one. Capello will get them to be patient and be disciplined but it wont happen overnight.
