Another note is that games are getting bigger and bigger, and there is no way a DVD will be able to handle that (They even had to cut bits out of MGS4 becuase 50GB wasn't enough) So it wouldn't surprise me if Microsoft released another console in a year a so and just abandoned the 360 like they did with the original XBOX.

All in all the PS3 is a much better deal than the 360, but each is to their own. If you prefer the 360 over the PS3, then that's your choice.
Only if you want a 120gb hard drive. Which is 3 times the size of the one you will get for the ps3 at the same price. I dont know anyone who has, or would ever need a 120gb hard drive so if you spend £300 on a 360 in todays market you have probably been mugged. You can get an elite with 120gb hard drive for £240 and you can get a core console with a normal 20gb hard drive for £180. And XBOX live is expensive aye, but it is better than PS3's version.

The PS3 is a better console, but if you are willing to spend £300 on that I don't see how you can claim the 360 is a rip off as the 360 is cheaper and still has its own advantages over the ps3.
