and you decide what "proper" is? i think your posts on this thread are complete bullshit.

first, Addict's original matchday thread was fine both functionally and aesthetically. i spent a good 5 minutes just trying to figure out what could have possibly been wrong with it. it's certainly not gonna drive any visitors away from the site. if your claim, or at least implication, to the contrary is the best justification you can find for being an asshole, you should try harder.

second, you claim that you were criticizing him on aesthetic and functional grounds, yet you go and check his "record" as if the creator of the thread has any bearing whatsoever on the outcome of the match. I have news for you buddy, what we say and do on this forum has absolutely no impact on the outcome of the matches, as much as many of the delusional posters on here, yourself included, would like that to be the case. only the players and their performances do. that's why the bbc doesn't do match thread ratings for us redcafe users. I could imagine it now:

Carrick - 7 good use of the ball, distributed well.
Ronaldo - 9 magical performance. man of the match.
Girish - 6 decent matchday thread, but shouldn't have centered the text
under the logos. Ronaldo's brilliance made up for Girish's type
setting mistakes.

if someone centers the text on match day thread, capitalizes a "v", puts the date but not the day of the week, places the time above the venue, chooses a larger image than normal, or uses the word "venue" before the venue without using the word "date" before the date, none of that makes any difference whatsoever. the game will be decided by the players, managers, and perhaps the referees. these minuscule differences in layout and typesetting most certainly won't make one iota of an impact on a match.
