That's right. I think Fergie might be turning him into a sort of play anywhere utility player. I still want to see him playing in front of the back four which surely is his best position. What's happening is that Carrick is partly playing that role with Scholes deep as well. The latter is totally unsuited to it and he must play a more attacking role so that he is more effective - otherwise I can see him fading out of the picture with Anderson taking over.
Not getting right in midfield was half our problem in the first half against Arsenal.
