They already are a joy to watch, could be even better next year.
I'm assuming that Modric will play in LM (not LW) for us - although he can play anywhere across the midfield. So if we can sign a quality DM this summer - someone like Veloso - then this looks to me to be a very strong outfield team:

Hutton - Woodgate - King - Bale
------------ Veloso --------
Lennon ----- Jenas ----- Modric
------ Berbatov - Keane

We'd have a very fluid attacking midfield, with several players having the capacity to move about freely, swapping sides, playing more centrally or playing 'in the hole' behind the strikers.

Some may say that Veloso (or a player of his ilk/quality) is not a realistic target for us, but I reckon the signing of Modric proves otherwise.

Of course Berbatov may well leave this summer, but if so I'd be quite relaxed about Bent taking his starting place - especially with 30m+ Berbs cash to spend and a strong attacking midfield behind our strikers to create chances and open up the play.

My optimism for next season has now risen a notch or two.
