i know you rate berbatov as the best addition to our strikeforce and even beter than bergkamp (which i respectfully disagree), but after having watched benzema for close to a year and half now, he is at the same level or even a notch higher than what wazza was when he first joined utd.
benzema really has everything in his locker when it comes to being a number 9. Scores with both feet, brilliant in the air, very good touch, wonderful dribble, top notch pace, superb strength, great movement, retains the ball well and lays it off when necessary. Most of all, he has that desire to want to be the main 'leading the line' striker. wants to play through the middle and bang in goals all day. pure pure class.
i like berbatov a lot, and for those who say he would slow down our attack, if anything he'd speed it up because he has ridiculous vision and could play 1 touch football all day if he wanted putting others through onto goal.
but benzema, at 20, is the future, short and long term. Just like euro 04 was wazza's coming out party to the world, euro 08 is benzema's IMO.
