1) Manucho is unproven in the premiership, or even european football so i doubt Fergie is going to be pinning our hopes on him. If he works out it is a bonus.

2) Ronaldo can not be relied upon to score all of our goals again, it aint gonna work forever. Im sure he will be just as good a player but there is no guarantee the goals will flow the same. Rooney etc and maybe a new player need to chip in a bit more.

3) The Glazers have said they understand that continued investment is needed in the squad to stay on top and win trophies... which is what brings more revenue into the club. If Fergie wants players im sure he will be backed.
