Better than Giggs, and on par with Figo, judged not only on technical ability, but also heart, character, leadership, defending, tracking back and having an amazing shot. The fulcrum of the Lazio, Juventus and Czech midfield, teams that played amazing football thanks in part to Pavel's qualities.
Single-handedly mauled Barcelona in Nou Camp, then Real Madrid in Turin and was going to win the CL had it not been for that Mcmamamamaman cnut that deprived him of the final by diving in front of the ref. That year he was the best player in Europe, and he did win Ballon d'Or ( I believe).
Absolutely world class player, though sometimes he went down too easily.
