Most definitely, it's just the start.

I'm looking forward to see this also. I've finally decided what I'm going to do as well, but I'll keep tight lipped a little longer until I've ironed all the details out.

Cool, and good luck! If you want to bounce stuff back and forth at anytime then let me know. I have absolutely no problem throwing technology and ideas back and forth amongst fellow developers! At the moment I'm building .x model viewers/tools for our game, although like you the game itself is top secret at the moment.
One thing I will let you in on though, is the Arcade download games on the 360 are extremely lucrative and I know for a fact a number of publishers (at least in the UK) aren't as willing to fund development from the off, but are willing to buy full products or at least those looking good and are "past the 60% mark" as I've been told. I'm not sure what route I want to go down yet, but the quality my artist is already producing (access to a top motion-capture studio/etc) I'm beginning to think along indie commercial lines.
