They still want over 20m for him. Huntelaar is unproven outside of Holland, but will still be at least 15m. Benzema looks unlikely to be sold, but if he does it'll be for about 35m, more than Berbatov.
Eto'o also has had some injury problems, and has had trouble with the Barca boardroom and they may be looking to sell. He seems to want to go. Hence, he'll be sold for quite a bit less than they would've got if they wanted to keep him. Once again, he'd probably demand to play every match. Despite this, and being the same age as Berbatov, he will go for an absolute minimum of 17-18m, and quite likely into the mid 20's.
That leaves just Villa and Berbatov. About the same age, about the same class, and in similar situations (both having endured disappointing seasons with the club and tempted to leave, but not desperate if they feel their club will step up to their ambitions). Both, although obviously wanting to play as much as possible, would be happy enough to sit on the bench sometimes and rotate between a three man strikeforce. The fact that Villa is in the La Liga means he will go for less as opposed to a player in the Premier League, but for us Berbatov has the advantage of being proven in the PL and more the kind of player we need.

Berbatov :
Likes to drop off
Not blessed with pace
As much a creator as a scorer
27
Proven well in the premiership
Villa :
Likes to stay up top
Incredible pace
Top goalscorer in La Liga the year before last, created the most goals last year.
26
Not proven in the premiership.
With Manucho in the squad, I see Villa as being more what we need - a proper goal scorer and someone who links up well with team mates whilst playing as a the leading striker. Likes to play on the shoulder of the defender, killing defenders with his pace and killing keepers with his finishing technique.
Berbatov is taller and stronger, but Keane does all the leg work in front of him for Spurs. Rooney would have a similar role to right now with Tevez, where he has to lead the line and make the runs to stretch the defence. Berbatov will do it sparingly, but doesnt do it often for Spurs - and Rooney and Keane are very similar kinds of player.
