He's said that repeatedly this past few weeks - mostly to the Spanish press, who describe it as "refusing to deny rumours."
Every now and again, having been asked it umpteen times, he snaps - as he did with Sky News. But look at what he's actually said.
- Playing in Spain's a dream, but one that he might not want in reality.
- He's flattered by the attention (Well, doh - imagine Ron liking that!) but likes playing for United
- Only God knows the future.
He's been saying the same things for the past two years. A couple of years ago it looked like he was on his way out; he probably thought he was on his way out - lousy season off the field and a lot of United fans still cynical about him on it and we know what happened next. Ever since he came back he's been telling the same story in almost exactly the same words.
Sure it'd be nice if he changed the story. Even to a lie

but he says his worst characteristic is stubborness and he's stubborn about this. He probably told his mum exactly the same story after she appeared on Spanish tele saying she'd like to see him playing in Madrid white before she dies - yeah, mum -that's my dream too, but I'm happy at United.
In other news, this is ruining Real's shopping plans. For all the, "We can afford him," speeches they'll have to save their pennies if they're serious about landing a big one.
