Well let's see Ronnie has a contract for 5 years, he is a prize asset is something special theres no one in the world like him right now. The next best thing since Best. He does things with the ball that make Ronaldhino look tame. He is a genius lets face it the guy will most probably go on and be rated up there with the aforementioned Best, Pele etc.

So those comments, well lets face facts maybe he does want to play in Spain and who can blame him? He is young ambitious his home country is just over the border. If Madrid want to pay him £200,000 a week then he is probably worth it in this money driven game because they will get it back two fold from merchadising. Madrid are a big club 2nd to us of course because we are not corrupt. They will always be linked with the top players and will always be favorites for the latin quarter players because of the climate lifestyle etc.

So I conclude his contract is a long one why would United sell? Even the Glazer's know he is a cash cow and although I can't stand the fact they plunged the club into debt they aren't about to sell the golden goose at just 23.

So Ronaldo to leave? only way would be via a transfer request or if SAF believes he isn't going to play 100% any more just like others have left ie Beckham. I really can't see him shafting SAF or Querioz like that his fellow country man Nani, we have a really latin quality to the team now with Tevez, Anderson etc. Its reported that we are looking at Veloso as well, another fellow portugese player. Everything is geared up to him staying long term.

Heres the win/win he stays glory to Ronaldo at United for at least 3-4 years to come. If he leaves well no worries thanks for the memories we cash in for a gazillion euros of Madrid's tainted cash. It wouldn't be the end far from it other greats have come and gone. It means we buy another winger and although there's not another player like him in the world there are pacey skillful players who take the berth on the right or left.

Sign another striker in the mold of Berbatov and we would still be good for my money to kick Chelski's and Le Arse & challenge in europe. We still have the emerging Nani & Anderson and with focal point no longer being Ronaldo we would have Rooney and Tevez left with more space and time on the ball to do there thing. There have been times this season where I personally felt they shinned when Ronaldo was rested etc.

So for me we can't loose Ronaldo goes Ronaldo stays. This is United the Club has always been and always will be bigger than the players.
This pleases me, the quality of the post (not that I agree or not).
