He won't get in ahead of Ruud and he certainly won't replace the golden boy of Madrid Raul. And he won't be a direct replacement for Ruud as imo still has some years left in the tank.
Its the Dutch connection i'm guessing, they all want to go to Madrid now. I expect him to be very prominent in Euro2008 so i guess it would make sense that clubs would be hoping to seal a deal for him now rather than risk he plays a blinder of a performances to see his price-tag shoot up
