Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is not on the verge of a move to Real Madrid according to the player’s agent Arnold Oosterveer.

French sports paper L’Equipe had reported another agent Vicenzo Morabito saying that the player was set to move to the Santiago Bernabeu, but Oosterveer was keen to distance his client from the claim.

Oosteveer said: "This is ridiculous. I didn't know this story but I can tell that all that is printed there is nonsense.

"There is no contact with Real Madrid or any other club for the matter about Huntelaar.

"Morabito is not the agent of Klaas-Jan and we have in the past already rapped him over the knuckles. Unbelievable."
