It's a relative criticism of Evra (which applies equally to Clichy in my book). They're not as bad as Alves or Ramos, whose defensive qualities are lost on me, but they aren't defenders first which is how I like my fullbacks. I also think their attacking contribution, while eyecatching, isn't that effective in real terms. Wes Brown did very well for you last season, despite not being most people's idea of a fullback, because he delivered on his defensive duties and, even if not the most fluent going forward, still made space and got in a few crosses. Sagna, of course, is the ideal modern fullback - superb defender both individually and as part of the unit and no mug going forward.
