I think Eto'o would be the perfect signing as long as his attitude doesn't get the better of him and I don't think that will be a problem under Sir Alex. He has got so many attributes to his game and is the exact type of player we need in my opinion. What is perfect with him is that we can hold Barca for ransom because they've weakened their hand considerably by coming out and saying that he's for sale and they don't need him - we could sign him for significantly less because of that. Also, he's 27 and that would mean that we can get 3-4 years of quality service and then (we hope) one of the youngsters in Welbeck, Macheda, Campbell or maybe even someone else could gradually grow into the first team. I do think it would be a shame if none of our academy strikers made it into our first team, the most talented group of young strikers that I've ever seen in our academy and learning from someone like Eto'o when he is at his prime would do them a world of good.

More to the point, Eto'o at his best is the best striker in the world.
