Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has had a £10m offer for Russian striker Roman Pavlyuchenko knocked back by Spartak Moscow.
The Daily Mirror claims that Pavyuchenko, and Spurs, were keen - but Spartak were not willing to sell to a club that they didn't consider as a step up for the star who was one of the stars of Euro 2008.

That champions league bit is a bit odd, do they mean from the point of view of the player wanting to play at that level. Or do they believe they could get more money from a club playing in the CL?
I only saw him at the Euro's and before that i'll be honest and say i hadn't really heard too much about him.
As i've said before though 'd be wary of signing a player on the back of a decent performance at the Euro's. Its not always a good way to judge a player.
