That's the most sensible post in this thread. With all the media hysteria after a couple of good games, he was being talked up as one of the best players in the world. Do me a favour. He is 27, and previously was looked on as a decent player, but nothing special. If he's so good, we'd have seen something from him long before now. I've seen him play for Russia against far weaker teams than they face in the Euro's, and he has looked ordinary enough.
If somebody is foolish enough to pay £20m odd for this guy, then they deserve everything they get, which if I had to guess will be stuttering inconsistency, average fitness, and very little sell on value.
