Have any of you guys had this?

I'm pretty sure I currently do. I was playing football last monday and my knees started giving me so much grief that I had to go in goals. When I stopped playing the pain got worse and my knees got rather stiff. I awoke the next morning to find what I assume to be swelling, over both my tibias (where the patellar attaches to the shin).

It's been over a week now and despite resting my knees as much as I can and taking plenty of ibruprofen, the swelling hasn't gone down. Getting in and out of a chair or bed has become a hassle, as has walking up and down stairs. I'm having to wait until next monday to see the doctor because my local surgery is shite.
