to be fair, many of us would've done the same thing. for all the shite and stupidity that is attributed to the modern footballer, you have to be very committed and have that drive and single mindedness to make it to the top. quite a few young lads have the talent but no where near the discipline. its not all fun and games. sharpey was brilliant, and it was sad to watch him not hit the peaks consistently and as long as i thought he would.

But those who constantly slate him because of his off the field stuff (no where near as bad as bestie mind you) are ultra hypocritical IMO.
