He's good in the air and very good on the ground. He can play up front alone, or in partnership. He can lead the line, play as target man or play in a deeper, more withdrawn role. His vision, anticipation, creativity and ball control is superb, with a very good positional sense. He scores goals and creates goals and rarely loses his cool in front of goal. He can dribble and pass well. His first touch is excellent, he rarely loses (or gets knocked off) the ball once in possession, and he usually seems to have all the time in the world on the ball. This languid, unhurried style is sometimes mistaken for lack of effort or slowness, but he's not a workhorse type of player. He rarely gets injured and he won't cause trouble on or off the pitch.

I think it's very difficult to compare price-wise with Torres, partly because inflation in the Prem. transfer market has again moved on a peg or two since last summer as a further knock-on effect of the all extra TV money coming into the game.

You also have to take into account the need (or maybe lack of need) of the selling club for money, the length of the player's remaining contract, his age of course, the importance of the player to the selling club and the depth of need of the buying club. Age apart, I don't know what the situation was with Torres and his club when he was sold, so I can't comment on how it compares with that of Spurs and Berbatov. I only know that Spurs are not short of money, that his contract still has 4 years to run if Spurs so wish and that he's a very important player for the club. As to the how much MUFC need Berbatov, your fans are better placed than me to comment.

You ask if, in my honest opinion, he's worth £20-25m? Yes, of course he is. In fact he's worth more and I don't believe he'll be sold to a Prem club for any bid in this 20-25m range. It will take more in my view.
all true.

he is def a 25 million pound striker because of his premiership proven tag as well.

are you confident that he won't throw a strop and tell spurs to fuck off and stay at home from training till he gets a move? he doesn't seem like he'd go to that extent but it does sound like he is a moody git (i should know, because after reading some articles and hearing some 2nd hand stories from my mates, his personality sounds a lot like mine).
