They still carry a fraction of the Galactico image created in early 2000s by Zidane, Figo, Ronaldo and Beckham but it will run out rather soon. They need someone to fill in the void left by them in terms of marketing and advertising and Ronaldo is exactly the player they need - there's hardly anyone worshiped by kids more than him and he's the best recognized player in the world.
