The Rules totally favour the Aussies though. We're not allowed to tackle - its a yellow or sending off & we dont play Marks. Most of your lads will have played Rugby - most of ours wont have gone anywhere near it. Your professional & have professional coaches - we have a magic sponge & some old bloke showing videos of Michael Collins to get the boys motivated!
I understand what you're saying there, but I can guarantee most of our players wouldn't have played Rugby!

Though if you're talking about it in the sense that the players will know how to tackle properly, then you'd be right to the extent that the players certainly do know how to tackle. But that's down to specialist training, technique training and just good hard time in the gym.

There's been a real emphasis on pressuring the ball-carrier, and thus tackling, over the last few seasons - it really does win you games as it causes turn-overs and rushed decisions.

Anyway so that certainly helps us when it comes to the hybrid game. Especially when you consider your guys are playing in a league where the exact opposite is emphasised!
