I was far from an angel in my teens (and in the end I paid for it dearly), not something I'm proud of. Drinking, using drugs and fighting - instead of getting an education, a job and maybe pursuing a football career.
What get's to me when people shout 'Racism' when things like this happens, is because it happened to me. I had a fight and beat up an asian kid. It had nothing to do with him being Asian, it would have happened if the bloke had been white, brown, yellow, red or blue. We had a drunken argument, and it ended up in fight, from which he got injured. Happens all the time. I was later arrested for this, and got charged for ghb and RACISM. Fucking stupid
