If this is true then why have United been the best supporterd club for decades, with significantly high attendances? Of course, people latch onto the success, as do people at all clubs, Liverpool accepted of course.

That is going into the real fans debate davo, a debate you know and love. Any football supporter of any team from the UK (foreign fans have an excuse) who have not been to see their team play are not supporters, merely fans (a big difference)
