  2. Benzema is about scoring goals. He can be selfish, which could be a bad thing in terms of not spotting a player in a better position, but might also add balance to our strikeforce who don't seem to be clinical.
  3. Berbatovs' physical ability will be declining, he will gradually start to lose his pace, but makes up for this in other areas, such as having such a sharp brain and good awareness. On other hand Benzema will only get faster and stronger meaning he should be able to adapt well to the premiership.
  4. Is Berbatov going to be happy sitting on the bench? I think Benzema would react better to being left out of the starting 11.
  5. Benzema is a better investment, he will have a much greater resale value in say 3 years than Berbatov would, however their hypothetical spells at OT went.
On the downside I wonder whether he would complement Rooney in the same way as Berbatov would, I reckon a Berbatov-Rooney partnership might be the best thing since sliced bread.

Also Berbatov can communicate in English whereas Benzema cannot, although there are a few French speakers at the club.
Fair enough with the first point, but right now Berbatov is still a lot better than Benzema and if we did buy Benzema, he'd probably be sold in the next few years so there's no guarantee Benzema will ever become as good as Berbatov in his career with us.

Disagree with point two, his game isn't based around being clinical/selfish/scoring goals.

Berbatov has already adapted to the league and will continue to adapt his game to fit it while his physicality declines, there is no guarantee Benzema will adapt.

Completely disagree. With all of the talent Benzema has, he would not be happy in the slightest about being put on the bench, especially since this isn't his first choice team, so I don't think he would accept sitting on the bench any more than Berbatov. But in all honesty who knows how Berbatov or Benzema will react to being put on the bench?

The only thing I completely agree on is the resale value, it can only increase.
