Disagree with point two, his game isn't based around being clinical/selfish/scoring goals.

Berbatov has already adapted to the league and will continue to adapt his game to fit it while his physicality declines, there is no guarantee Benzema will adapt.

Completely disagree. With all of the talent Benzema has, he would not be happy in the slightest about being put on the bench, especially since this isn't his first choice team, so I don't think he would accept sitting on the bench any more than Berbatov. But in all honesty who knows how Berbatov or Benzema will react to being put on the bench?

The only thing I completely agree on is the resale value, it can only increase.
Fair enough, who's to say how either of them would react when put on the bench? But rather they make a reaction and show hunger, than be happy to sit on the bench and cash the cheque every week ala Sidwell eh...

Regarding your 'proven in the premiership' point it was a gamble that brought Berbatov from a comparably weaker league into the premiership. Fans also questioned Torres' adaptability. At some point you have to take a risk. But to look at the player, he does appear to have the natural characteristics to survive in the prem.

I think he is a bit a selfish, from what I have seen of him. When he's in or around the box he is single-minded, he wants to shoot and score and I think that's what we need more than anything.

And with your initial point, it is true that Berbatov has only had eyes for United for a while now, where Benzema has mentioned Spain before he's mentioned England, but his value will increase so it's still a good bit of business. And if he stays with us for 3/4/5 years thats still a good spell, especially in football nowadays.
