Barnsley are set to run the rule over Ben Williams after he joined the club on trial from Manchester United.
The 21-year-old keeper is a regular in United's reserves, but is believed to want first-team football.

Williams undertook loan spells with Coventry and Chesterfield in the 2002-03 season, but is yet to make a senior appearance for The Red Devils.

The Tykes already have one Old Trafford youngster in the squad, after Sir Alex Ferguson allowed Daniel Nardiello (pictured) to join on loan.

Williams will play in two non first-team matches for Barnsley and is in line to feature for the club's reserves against Tranmere Rovers
