Up front, Adebayor was sold on the basis that he was no longer the right centre forward for the new formation (apart from being a negative influence in the dressing room) and surprisingly van Persie was the replacement no.9, whereas I had thought Eduardo or Bendtner might play there with him playing off the right as he does for Holland. It took him about five games to get the hang of it but his performances of late have been outstanding both in terms of goalscoring and providing a focus for the attack.
