Also, the rivalry is so fierce that only only Owen & Ince have played for both clubs in the last dozen years with NO player moving directly between clubs since 1964.
This shows the disdain between the fans AND the club whereas players have frequently played for Barca/Real, Rangers/Celtic, Milan/Inter or Boca/River, some even signing directly from each other.
Tide has turned, we're a bigger game now...

In the last 100 years I think only six players have turned out for both sides of the Old Firm, and half of them are essentially on technicalities - e.g. brought through the Rangers youth system but don't make it and end up joining Celtic ten years later.
