Morrison is Albions fletcher, nearly always found in central midfield these days.. whereas Brunt has been coming off the wing and occupying himself in the hole.
They're a very fluid side Albion and so its hard to pin down who is an out and out midfielder/wide player, only Jerome Thomas can you be certain enough to say that he is a winger.

Don't think he did get booked, but sending off would've been really harsh. Its just one of those fouls where you just get merked as Rio would put it, nothing malicious behind it and as you've stated there was cover alongside him.
