Nothing annoys me more than the word transition.
We won the league two seasons ago. Transition at a club like Manchester United should be smooth.....face the fact that good management would ensure consistency, and a constant blend of young and older players. It is not
good management to have to rebuild a team less than two years after winning a title.
I believe we've been strengthening
the team - or that was the intention. If, on the other hand, the intention was to rebuild, I'd be extremely disappointed. If we are now in transition it's because the players we've bought have not been the right quality, but the team we have now, when all back and fully fit, could well turn out to be good enough to compete at the highest level. In which case, we have strengthened successfully, and are not in transition.
