He's defensively awesome, but not particularly effective in attack, so paying huge money on him is then relying heavily on Anderson become the brilliant attacker we know he can be.

I still think we need a box-to-box more, though they can be hard to actually define at times. I'd call Defour one, he's also a natural born leader and he'd be a better fit (in my opinion) than M'Vila, though maybe not as technically gifted in some aspects, mainly defensively

I'm sure you've seen more because you always seem to have seen more of these players than anyone else.
I'm not sure whether the last line is a dig or misplaced praise.

I think you should give him a watch for Rennes because for me he takes on a completely different role, the vast majority of their play goes through him so much more than it does for France I think and it shows a different side to him.

That being said he is still very clearly more prominent in deeper areas of the pitch - with and without the ball - than Defour so I can't argue there, if you think we need that type of midfielder more then I can't argue!

The one thing we know is that if you want to be a successful midfielder here you have to play a bit too, Sir Alex has never seemed interested in the Makelele's or Mascherano's, and we know both of these can.
