That was the tactic that worked an absolute treat towards the end of last season in the Champions League and in the league. I wouldnt be surprised if we tried it again, but i think its more likely that will be the Plan B from the bench.

if Rooney is not fit than I prefer Berba and Chica as strikers for this one

We seem to be going from strength to strength in being rubbish right now, I wouldn't be too concerned if I were you.

Despite the chronic list of injuries we have had, as well as a considerable drop in form at the end of 2011, to be level on points with a Manchester City who have been described nothing short of omnipotent, just goes to show how deep our quality is and the winning mentality built deep into the DNA of every single one of our first team squad players. Scholes has been a God send during January and has played his 'Larsson' role to perfection already.

With players now coming back after injuries (so should be fresh in terms of fitness), if they can quickly find form, and the way our squad is normally geared up to hit the ground running from February through to April, I'm feeling very confident. If we can get clear at the top of the table, I would think City will find it very hard to knock us from the top. Even if City stay top until March, when squeeky bum time hits, I have no doubt that pressure will be too much for them.

I think this year is one year too early for City .... abit like 1991 pre Cantona when we lost out to Leeds despite having had such a strong start to the season. But it will, be very good experience for them to build from.

will take a point, but I think if we can get Nani, Rooney and Rio back into the side, then 3 points is a strong possibility.

We get 3pts from this and I honestly think we'd be favourites for the title.

When was the last time Spurs beat us? Also, we just beat City at their own ground recently (it was in a different competition, but still point stands).

How have all of you missed the obvious? Have none of you seen the weather forecast for the weekend? Remember last year? It's gonna snow fellas and it'll be the only game in the Prem cancelled and lo and behold Cole will be back for the rearranged game and it'll be wedged between the City game and something else and we'll fuck up.

Yeah, I remember last year they had a bunch of injuries - was scheduled for December, got moved to 1st of March, when all their lads were back and we had just been (or about to go to, can't remember) Liverpool away.

Put it this way, it's done on the "advice" of the police, but trust me, Chelsea will have their say. Remember, they can use the "safety of the fans traveling to the ground" shite now.

I wouldn't dismiss Longsden's comments just yet.

When was the last time Spurs played this well and were third and only five points behind the leaders 23 games into the season?

It is the only premier league match in London on a day London is forecast to get hit by snow, the Metropolitan Police doesn't take kindly to Western London become congested in adverse conditions when Londoners can barely drive when it rains moderately.

i don't know, the last time they delayed a game, Chelsea I believe, the reason wasn't because of the game being impacted but travel for those going to the game.

true but that's because it's the actual game. I said sadly because of the debacle of FOX affiliates not showing the game but something else. Felt sorry for those who couldn't watch the game while I could. I guess I lucked out. Just found it strange and disappointing that in some areas of the country, they didn't view as showing the game as that important. Hence, some people got left out of that experience

Sir Alex eyes Bridge boost

Manchester United's league trips to Chelsea have been far from fruitful during the last ten years but Sir Alex Ferguson hopes that will change when the Reds visit Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

United, who beat Andre Villas-Boas' side 3-1 earlier in the season at Old Trafford, have not tasted victory in the league on Chelsea's patch since April 2002 and have been on the wrong end of a number of controversial refereeing decisions, particularly in the last two seasons.

But after seeing his team drew level on points with league leaders Manchester City this week, Sir Alex knows the importance of coming away from West London with a positive result on Sunday.

"We’ve done very well away from home this season and we need to be good from now on," the boss tells the March issue of Inside United.

"We’ve got some really important away games in the run-in – Chelsea, Tottenham and Man City. They’re going to be crucial games.

"Games at Chelsea in the last few years have been tough and we’ve had terrible luck there which has caused us disappointing results.

"The players know what they need to do," he added.

"They know their responsibilities and the standard and expectation at the club, and they have to carry those things with them when they go into games."

Last 10 at Chelsea
01/03/11 Chelsea 2 United 1
08/11/09 Chelsea 1 United 0
21/09/08 Chelsea 1 United 1
26/04/08 Chelsea 2 United 1
09/05/07 Chelsea 0 United 0
29/04/06 Chelsea 3 United 0
15/08/04 Chelsea 1 United 0
30/11/03 Chelsea 1 United 0
23/08/02 Chelsea 2 United 2
20/04/02 Chelsea 0 United 3
..

Terry will not be fit.
He's out for 2-3 more weeks.

So it's probably: Ivanovic - Luiz - Cahill - Bosingwa, other options are Ferreira and Bertrand.
