Team should be...

GK: De Gea

RB: Rafael
CB: Evans
CB: Ferdinand
LB: Evra

RM: Valencia
CM: Carrick
CM: Scholes
LM: Nani

CF: Rooney
CF: Welbeck

Subs: Amos, Jones, Smalling, Cleverley, Giggs, Young, Hernandez

I'll take a point right now, I suspect one team will win though :nervous:

bosnian_red 22nd April 2012 15:33

De Gea
Rafael Evans Rio Evra
Valencia Carrick Scholes Nani
Rooney Welbeck

Same team as today, we just need a fuck load of more concentration. Can't see Welbeck being dropped because he was really good these last two games, and our attack was really good today. Our defence needs to really step it up though. Rafael might go on the bench but I'm not sure SAF would want to put a player who hasn't played in a while (smalling) or one who is really off form (jones) in for such a big game, so let's just hope Rafael does well.

The result could go either way really, they're in good form but I trust our team and think we'll get the point we need. If we lose then the title is as good as lost (even though we would be level on points).
Saying that, I think it'll be 1-1, Aguero to score for them and give them the lead then Rooney to equalize for us.

Mr Anderson 22nd April 2012 15:36

Shit or burst. Either way I'm going to get shitfaced for it.

MUFCgal 22nd April 2012 15:39

------------------De Gea-----------------
Smalling-------Rio--------Evans-------Evra
--------------Carrick----Jones------------
Valencia-----------Scholes------------Nani
-------------------Rooney----------------

Subs: Amos, Rafael, Giggs, Young, Cleverley, Welbeck, Chicharito.

Or if Owen is fit, then maybe one of the striker spots on the bench, in place of Chicharito.

Cutch 22nd April 2012 15:56

Losing is not an option

NewDawnFades 22nd April 2012 15:58

If Valencia, Rooney, Scholes and FED all have a good game we'll get something from it.

Utd heap 22nd April 2012 16:00

0-3 United.

What the fuck is up with everyone on here?

I need to start going to matches again so i don't have to log on here immediately after dropped points

Sally Cinnamon 22nd April 2012 16:02

The weekend is going to be such a fucking drag waiting for this match.

1-2.

Cold_Boy 22nd April 2012 16:05

This game will be unbearable to watch.

I can't even imagine!

RonaldoVII 22nd April 2012 16:29

rcoobc 22nd April 2012 16:34

Same team again, 4-4 will do it!

Red Dreams 22nd April 2012 16:34

so what is Raoul's record?

kouroux 22nd April 2012 16:38

I'm gonna have to smoke a lot of fucking weed to calm myself down for that match.

stretford_oslo 22nd April 2012 16:44

Can't wait!

Plan M 22nd April 2012 16:46

I can't see us playing with 2 strikers at the Etihad. It will be a 4-3-3/4-5-1 with Rooney up-top on his own.

Sylar 22nd April 2012 16:47

We cannot go into playing to avoid defeat. That will undo us like it has in the past. I can see us starting 442 (which we should, team that started today, maybe young for valencia?) and then making changes throughout the game.

Cutch 22nd April 2012 16:49

This is gonna be unbearable having to wait 8 days for this

Relevated 22nd April 2012 16:50

if we draw and then beat swansea do we win the title?

Damien 22nd April 2012 16:51
so what is Raoul's record?
This is his one other thread in this forum: http://www.redcafe.net/f11/manchester-united-v-ac-milan-69882/

We lost that 1-0.

Sylar 22nd April 2012 16:51
if we draw and then beat swansea do we win the title?
No. Unless City drop points to Newcastle.

McGrathsipan 22nd April 2012 16:55

I can only hope that Rio and Evans get a grip and perform bettert than they did today
Evans owes us a MOTM display after his performance agasint city earlier in the season aswell

Park the bus and hit them on the break; City have to chase a win.

Godfather 22nd April 2012 16:57

Not sure Scholes should start this one. He even struggled today to keep up with the tempo. He's brilliant and all but if we play 4-4-2 Scholes in the middle could be too risky defensively.

I think they could, hopefully Newcastle are still fighting for 4th spot but you know they're just going to roll over that day. But at St James there's a good chance of them causing an upset

I like the idea of this starting line up but we need a more physical presence in midfield.

I just hope we don't play 4-4-2 otherwise it's going to be a very long evening.

WireRed 22nd April 2012 17:01

Hate to say it, but this has all the hallmarks of a bad night...City with the momentum, us frittering away 8 point lead in 2 weeks, City fans and players bang up for it with a big atmosphere at COMS, and that little gobshite Tevez with a point to prove by scoring the decisive goal of the season...Hope I'm wrong but my feelings about this game and the title race are horrible :(

We would create fuck all with that line-up and still be overrun in midfield.

Sam 22nd April 2012 17:08

I wanted us to be going in at least 4 points ahead, giving us a margin for error. Now its down to 3 points, we have to get a result there. Horrible situation we've created for ourselves considering how good it looked two weeks ago.

Create fuck all?!? With Scholes, Giggs, Nani, Valencia and Rooney in the side how much creativity do you want?!?

Raven Blade 22nd April 2012 17:22

Work will be unbearable before this one. I'm gonna be shitting it all day and there's no way i'm staying late. Got to mentally prepare.

It's gonna be an ugly watch.

Jones and Evans as fullbacks wouldnt give us anything going forward and Giggs has been abysmal in his last outings in CM. Also don't like Rooney alone up front.
I'd still stick with Welbeck up front, play Rooney deeper alongside Carrick and Scholes.

Sylar 22nd April 2012 17:42

The wait for this match is going to do me in. 8 freakin days. The weekend will be shit since its a Monday game as well. And the game itself will probably end up killing me.

prateik 22nd April 2012 17:46

Its only fucking city.. we'll turn them over.

Exactly 100% the team I want to start as well.

It won't though :(

Hope we don't bottle it completely.
