I don't think he would have started in a fully fit squad. But injuries and suspensions mean we don't really have much choice.

Fergie has never been one to shy away from putting young players in big games. If you're good enough...

United have overcome any and all obstacles...of course we may lose...

imo its just a matter of getting all our players back...

any of the other clubs would give their right arm to have the players we have...

have faith...

Yea, i realize with everyone fit he doesn't start, but I meant would he start from the perspective of a highly competitive physical match that probably will be more intense that what he's played in yet.

If Hargreaves isn't fit to play in Darren's place this woudl be my choice too.

Thought Fletcher last year really repaid the faith shown in him so far - so I'd prefer to see him start ahead of the perhaps more imposing physique of The Cat.

Surely, with our injuries, we have to play Nani or Anderson - and in terms of match fitness the former is more likely.

I think if we can score twice we should win this.

Van der Sar
Brown - Rio - Vida - Evra
O'Shea - Carrick - Scholes
Nani - Tevez - Giggs

3:0 Giggs, Tevez x2

I don't see why people are so nervous remember who we are and the team we have. Even without Rooney and Ronaldo the suggested team looks pretty damn impressive. Of course City at home isn't an easy game but most of there players won't understand the importance of the derby match anyway it's all new to them.

City are playing better but they have had two of the easiest teams in the league so far. City will come out and play and I think and i'm going to say we will kick start our season with a 4-1 win. God knows who will score anybody could. You can't beat watching United when the pressure is on.

This team looks good to me. The front four of Nani, Scholes, Giggs and Tevez must all push up to support the attack.
