I don't care if the performance was poor, the result is fucking sweet.

We hung on at times and their finishing was poor. Well taken goals and guts and determination did it for us.

Great result. Real grit and desire from the boys. But the defensive performance was very, very poor indeed. The sooner Nemanja is fit, the better. Wes Brown was particularly bad - lots of effort and application, but little ability.

We looked too tentative in the first half and allowed them way too much time and space to play their game. Tevez and Anderson made cases to be starting games. The initial line up was too conservative.

Not the best match we have played this season but we got the result we needed. Don't understand why we start with one striker at home when arsenal has to attack.

Poor performance, but 3 points - that's why we're champions!

The balance of the side was all wrong in the first half & our defence was opened up way to easily - though I think that was more down to the midfield than the defence. Hleb was amazing in the first half & we should have adjusted to nullify his impact much quicker than we did.

Hopefully there'll be lessons learnt from this match before we play Barca & Chelsea!

So we can defend against their attacks. Thats the whole point of a packed midfield.

In my eyes it would be better to start with two strikers and go for the counter attack, but feck that. We won, that's what matters.

Who cares we won...! Arsenal were bound to come at us as only 3 pts would keep them in the championship, this was always going to be tough but we won and are 6pts away from being champions, I for one will drink to that..!

I've just noticed that if you scroll down these pages just as fast as possible you still read every word, you don't miss anything and it's like being amidst the unwashed hordes at the match, everyone slobbering excitedly and simultaneously!

Priceless!

Oh yeah, we win!

Now that's priceless.

good match but our first half wasn't as good as our second half....i was fearing the worst when the twat scored from his hand and ref making ronaldo retake the pen but we came over and what a beauty from hargreaves.

p.s my isp screwed up

Not wanting to quibble when we got the result in the end but playing Park ahead of Tevez made no sense. Hargreaves in a forward midfield role is a little odd as well. It means Scholes plays too deep and is really ineffective with Carrick also deep in a semi holding role relying on the long ball to set up attacks. It rather handed the initiative to Arsenal in that first half. If Fergie intends to persist with this set up in future then Anderson is a better bet than Scholesy.

I'd prefer OH in his traditional holding role with Scholes pushed forward where he is far more productive.

It was good to see Giggsy coming off the bench and being a steadying influence in the last moments of the game. That really should be his role from now on.

on a techinal note there were 3 goals so you all can assume i meant the match will have 3 goals rather than we'll score 3 which we did as ronaldo took the pen twice and adebayor used his hand so that's not a goal
